This site does not set cookies, and nothing here follows you anywhere else.
What this site stores in your browser
Nothing. There are no accounts, no logins, and no settings to remember, so there is no session cookie, no preference cookie, and no local storage holding anything about you. If you check your browser’s cookie list for this site, it should be empty.
How visits are counted
V-Stage uses Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages people read. It is cookieless: instead of storing an identifier in your browser, it derives a hash from the request that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you or linked to your visits on any other site. It records the page, the referrer, the country, and the kind of device — not who you are.
There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no Meta or LinkedIn tag, no heatmap or session recorder, no chat widget, no embedded video, and no remotely loaded font. Nothing third-party is loaded onto these pages at all beyond that one analytics script.
Why there is no cookie banner
Because there is nothing to consent to. Canadian privacy law asks for meaningful consent where personal information is collected, and US state privacy laws turn on selling or sharing it; a cookieless page counter that cannot identify you, and is never sold or shared with anyone, reaches neither bar. A banner asking permission for nothing would just be one more thing to click, and it would make the ones that matter easier to ignore.
What would change this
Adding an advertising pixel, a Google Analytics tag, a chat widget, an embedded video, or anything else that stores an identifier in your browser would mean this page changes and a consent banner appears with it. If you are reading this page and it still says the site sets no cookies, that is still true — it is checked whenever the site changes.
Blocking it anyway
Any tracker blocker or a browser’s do-not-track setting will stop the analytics script loading, and the site works exactly the same without it. Questions go to preston@vstagehq.com.
