What is collected, and why

• Your name and email — to reply to you, send the sample, and keep the order straight. Both are required.
• The listing photos you upload — to assess what is in each room, produce the staged images, and check the result against your original.
• The listing address or area, and any notes — to name the job and follow your instructions. Both are optional.
• Your IP address — held briefly by the submission endpoint to limit how often the same source can submit. It is not stored with your order.

Nothing here is collected for advertising, and none of it is sold, rented, or traded. There are no accounts, no passwords, and no logins on this site.

Who else handles your information

V-Stage is a small business, but it runs on services that necessarily see some of your information. Staging is AI-assisted: submitted photos are sent to OpenAI to generate the staged images, and to Anthropic to assess what is in each room, estimate scope, and check staged images against the originals. Photos and delivered files are stored in Google Drive, and order details in Google Sheets. Payments are handled by Stripe — V-Stage never sees your card number. Email is sent via Resend and Gmail. The site itself is hosted by Vercel, which also provides its visitor counts.

All of these operate outside Canada, so your information is processed and stored outside Canada and is subject to the laws of the countries they operate in. None of them are given your information for their own marketing, and V-Stage shares it with no one beyond the services listed here, except where the law requires it.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or cross-site trackers. Visitor counts come from Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify you. The cookie page explains this in full.

How long it is kept

Photos and delivered files are kept while you are an active customer and for two years after your last order, so a listing can be revised or re-delivered and so there is a record if a delivery is ever questioned. Order and payment records are kept for seven years, which is what Canadian tax rules require. Enquiries that never become orders are deleted within a year. You can ask for your files to be deleted sooner, at any time.

Your rights, and how to use them

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) you can ask to see the personal information V-Stage holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or withdraw your consent to further use of it.

Email preston@vstagehq.com and say which of those you want. Preston is the person accountable for privacy at V-Stage, answers these directly, and will reply within 30 days. Some records may be kept where the law requires it — invoices, order history, and anything needed to resolve a dispute — and if that is the case you will be told which and why.

If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, which oversees PIPEDA and can investigate independently of us.

If you are in the United States

V-Stage is a Canadian business and PIPEDA is the law it operates under, but the rights above — see what is held about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, withdraw your consent — are offered to every customer regardless of where you are. Email the same address and you get the same answer.

Two things worth saying plainly, because several US state privacy laws turn on them: V-Stage does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is nothing to opt out of, because it never happens. Your information is processed in Canada and in the countries where the services listed above operate.

Keeping it safe

Photos are uploaded over an encrypted connection into a private Google Drive folder that is not shared with anyone by default. If you send a link to your own folder or gallery instead, we open it and download the photos into that same private folder; the link itself is kept with your order so we can find them again. Finished work is delivered through a shared folder, so treat a delivery link as private and pass it only to people involved in the listing. No system is perfect; if anything ever goes wrong with your information, you will be told.
